The Pilots Lounge as it currently exists is in need of some help. It has been suggested by Airport tenants and users that they would like a usable space to conduct aviation related activities, to hold meetings, to brief or debrief after flights, or just to sit back and do a little hangar talk.
What are needed are suggestions from the various users as to what they would like to see done to improve and update the space. Based on Airport budget we have our own thoughts as to what would be an ideal environment, such as resealing and recoating the floor, painting the walls, possible drop ceiling with updated lighting, new wall charts, bulletin board for various notices, and of course new furniture which will include a couch, lounge chairs, and a conference table with 8 chairs.
If you as an individual, a club or a group can provide any suggestions, expertise or assistance in updating the Pilot's lounge, please give Steve or Rob in Airport Operations a call at 925-646-5722, stop by the Director of Airports' office, or talk to any of the Airport staff you see on the airfield.
